Kit vs. Custom Racks

Vigilant Wine Cellars - Custom Wine Racks, Custom Kit Wine Racking

A kit wine cellar.

When considering a wine cellar, Vigilant offers several options, including kit wine racks, custom wine racks and modular wine cabinet kits. While options are great, some customers may wonder why they’d choose one over the other. The good news is that you really don’t have to choose one option alone, as all of our racks and modular cabinets can be integrated to create a wine cellar designed to your specifications without the fully custom price tag.

Kit Wine Racks
Vigilant’s kit wine racks come in two heights: Classic (77″ tall) and Estate (92.5″ tall). Both lines are available in pine or mahogany and lacquer finish; mahogany wine racks are available in Shaker Maple or Chestnut stain.

With a wide range of available elements, kit wine cellars mirror their custom counterparts in style and functionality. Choose from individual wine racks with display rows, bins and cases for bulk storage, decorative components, tables and half heights.

Modular Wine Cabinet Kits
Vigilant’s wine cabinets are furniture-quality pieces that can stand on their own or easily be integrated with our Classic and Estate wine racks. These modular pieces are easy to assemble and allow for several design possibilities. Choose from several modular cabinet packages or customize your own cabinet with drawers, doors, lighting and stemware shelves to fit your storage needs.

Custom Wine Racks & Cellars
With custom wine racks and wine cellars, the possibilities are infinite. Many customers choose a fully custom wine cellar or some custom elements because they have space, height or other storage requirements outside of our kit wine racking and modular cabinet lines. Custom racks can be made to any height, wood type and finish. Other custom options include true radius curves, double deep wine racks, rolling ladders and floor to ceiling height racking.
